Dear Bloggie...
Hello everyone...
Sorry for not updating for so long...
Even though it doesn't feel that way...
I've been sick these couple of days...
Bad throat, very bad...
Last week was a week which is, kinda, slacked...
Monday had CT&A lab test...
Which was quite easy...
After connecting up my circuit..
I called for the cher..
He came and checked my connection...
And he wrote a big fat ZERO on my paper...
I mean, I was shocked obviously...
Then he explained to the whole class that the number is the number of mistakes made...
I was so relieved...
Which meant I got 50% of the whole lab test already...
So yup, quite relieved there...
Tuesday, woke up at around 11am plus...
Got ready for school...
Went out of the house...
Reached MRT station and got a phone call from Daff...
She said she not going for the lesson...
So I went back home, and my mom was shocked...
Told my mom that the meeting was cancelled and I did the programming stuff at home...
Ooh, and I bought bubble tea on the way back, I think it was blue coral...
Did some music theory stuff and slept...
Wednesday, woke up quite early in the morning...
Rushed to school and reached exactly at 8am...
I rushed cause there was another lab test...
This time it was MCT lab test...
Which was very very very easy...
Since it was open book and the programs were inside the comp...
I did for afew mins...
And to my horror, the comp hang on me...
So I closed the program and started fresh again...
But I remembered to save it...
After everything, I called the cher...
He checked my program and wrote 100% on my paper...
It was like too easy I guess...
He should have made it earlier, so that I could've ponned more...
Went for GYL camp briefing at 12pm...
I'm gonna be away to Batam for the camp on 28th to 31st August...
Part of me is looking forward to it, part of me just don't feel the same...
I paid my 110 bucks on that day...
And I went home after that as there isn't any FME that day...
Thursday, I came at 10am for CT&A lecture...
It was abt the last chapter for the whole module...
Which I have forgotten what it is cause I haven't revised yet...
Note to self, next week is revision week for ALL modules...
I repeat, ALL modules..
After CT&A lecture, followed Is and Jianhui to FC4 and called Rachel...
They were going to W4..
So I rushed to W4 from FC4...
Which is like worlds apart...
When I reached, we had to leave as it was 12pm and it's lunch time...
So we went to FC1 for lunch...
Which I ate briyani...
We discussed about our D&IP project over lunch...
And when it was nearly 1pm, we set off back to the lab...
Did quite alot of hardware stuff, trying to get the sensors to work and all...
We really did as much as we could...
But the time given to do everything was just too little...
I even ponned maths lesson for it...
Which I know is going to cost me quite alot...
And we left the lab at around 5pm plus...
So we spent about 5 hours at the lab just to make it work...
I find it very tiring...
Friday, went to school in the morning for the robot thing...
In the end we chucked our sensors one side and our LEDs one side...
And that's the hardware part...
Since I had no sensor to program...
I just programmed the robot to go straight and just do circles...
After doing the programming, I went for EID...
Which we are always late for as we always drag DIP...
We had a sort of Field Assignment...
Went outside where there was a copper pole about 2 metres long buried underneath soil...
It's to check on some earth leakage protectiong thingy I learned during EID...
So one of the wire was connected to that copper thingy...
Another wire was to be placed about 20 metres away...
And another one was to be placed 10 metres away...
First we had to check the resistance of wire from the pole to the one 20 metres away...
The resistance was only about 55 ohms?
And when we measured the one at 10 metres, it was 55 ohms also...
So we concluded that it was safe..
As in there's earth leakage protection around the area...
(damn this is so boring stuff right, I know...-.-)
Then we went inside the lab again and check for failures in wiring circuits...
Won't elaborate on that as it is very boring...
But, I played with the electrode thingy...
And shocked myself with 500V...
Yes folks, 500V...
And no, I didn't fry myself...
It was just shocking...
Kinda hoping I became electrified or something...
Anyways...
After I shocked myself...
My groupmates wanted to try...
And they know how it feels like...
And so that was the start of everyone jumping and screaming...=X
(why izzit that fridays are always so shocking)
After EID, went back to DIP lab...
Do some final touches to the robot...
And was shoo-ed(sp?) by the TSO to go library for the "presentation"...
Basically our robot will have pens or other drawing materials on it...
And there will be drawing paper sticked onto the floor infront of the library...
And so my robot just drew lines and circles...
First we used the Bus cover...
But the thing holding the robot in, broke...
So we just left it naked...
I felt quite ok actually as the robot drew quite alot of circles...
I took some photos and videos of the robot doing it's stuff..
Will update the photos/videos when I have the time...
All in all, it wasn't too bad, the blue marker didn't work...
So there was quite alot of red markings on the paper...
After all that I was off for friday prayers...
After my friday prayers, rushed down to NASband...
They were having rehearsal in the hall...
I can only say some stuff...
Winter's Fury doesn't sound nice when it's been played slowly...
Rocking Randeau(sp?) didn't sound convincing when it starts...
And YMCA is the loudest song that's being played...
I just hope there's still time for improvements...
After the rehearsal in the hall...
They went down, and I conducted Majulah Singapura...
Actually I didn't even think of conducting...
I just conducted and let my feeling take over...
Now I understand why my conductor feels so excited when conducting...
But the worse thing was, we had to play in the sun, for SOOOO long...
Luckily Ms Ong was there and bought some bottles of water for the band...
That's very thoughtful of her...=]
After everything ended, the band had to do punishments, which is to run around quadrangle...
They make it look so fun, but hey, who said punishments can't be fun?=]
And they packed up and that was the end of Friday.......
Saturday.......
Came to school and the DM was taking attendance...
After attendance, we were split into groups for marching...
I took the Sec 1s, DM took sec 3s and BM took sec 2s...
I was feeling quite strict on that day, so I snapped at the slightest things...
*Rebekah, I am sorry if I offended you in anyway, I didn't mean to, I'm really sorry...*
Most of them were doing fine...
Only one or two that were spoiling the whole squad...
That's why I kept shouting SA-MU-LA...
At times even though they weren't together, I just let them off...
Luckily for them, and for me, marching ended at 8.30am...
So I didn't have to do alot of things to them...
After marching...
Set up instruments and sat down at the benches in the quadrangle...
I conducted their warm up...
Give them afew tips...
Made them stand up...
And I learned that from Mr Tan..
Who told us to sit but the upper half of the body remain standing...
This is for air circulation and all...
I'm glad my tuba junior got listen to me...=]
And so Mr and Mrs Chua came and took over...
She went through all the stuff that's gonna happen on that day...
Played Trumpet Voluntary and four from the percussion had to act as flag bearers(sp?)...
I shan't comment on them...
After all that, went up to the hall for rehearsal for concert...
Talked to Izzati about her playing the marimba and tested it out...
Izzati, please try to play louder, ok? Just whack that marimba...=]
Ok, I am just too sick to continue blogging about Saturday, the rest gotta wait...
*does she still hate me? do my juniors like having me around? am i appreciated?*
Take carez people!
Thanks for visiting and hope to see all of you soon!
It's been 4 days since I chatted with you, hope you're doing fine at your new place...=]
