But I refuse to let them be numbered.
Hello all! =]
Goodness...
It's been like forever since I've updated...
And yes there's been many, many many things that happend...
Will only go through the ones which are significant...
Ok let's get started then...
Two days ago was SYF for my school...
But before I talk about my school...
Let's just run through the schools which I heard on that day...
The morning began with Beatty Secondary...
Can tell from the band that they were very disciplined in their playing...
The conductor looks quite young and has alot of potential...
Dynamics were quite well controlled I should say...
Next up was Orchird Park...
Their dynamics blew me away, strong band...
I never heard of their choice piece before, but it was very entertaining...
Next was Mayflower...
Overture No. 1 was a little different than other bands, though it sounds unique to them...
Danse Diabolique was well excecuted, the articulations, the tempo and the intonation was all well portrayed...
Then I went out and missed Woodgrove and Tampines as I was with my sec band outside the hall...
Came back in and heard Commonwealth played...
My very first impression of Overture No. 1 was that it was too heavy?
It sounded too much like a marching song to me?
But their Noah's Ark was just, perfect...
From the start with the eupho + trumpet duet, can say my heart kinda melted listening to it...
The intensity of the song could be felt, dynamics were awesome...
I enjoyed the performance alot...
Next was Anglican High...
When I saw Mrs Chua going up there, I immediately remembered MY SYF moments..
Ok Overture No. 1 felt abit controlled?
But it shows that the band responded to her conducting...
Impressions of Japan... Oh my, the percussions were AMAZING!
Synchronised very very well...
Somehow I felt the Japan atmostphere while they were playing...
And at the very last part, the gong was a signature-ish ending for a Japanese song...
Next up Ngee Ann...
To be honest there's alot of faults... It pains me to list them out, so, I will not, if you really wanna know, just ask me personally...
So that was on SYF...
I don't wanna sound like a sore loser or anything...
But this year the SYF results have been extremely shocking to me...
That's all I can say...
Shocking...
Next up...
In 2 month's time, I'll be serving my National Service in Singapore Civil Defence Force...
To be honest, I'm looking forward to it alot...
I mean, sure I've heard of stories here and there...
But it beats having to go through it yourself...
The experience is going to be amazing be it good or bad...
So I know I'm not fit at all...
So these next two months I'm HOPING to get my ass up and exercise...
So that at least I won't feel training that tough when I'm in...
To my friends who hasn't got the letter, hope you guys get it soon...
I'm really really looking forward to this...
Please pray for my safety my friends, and I might be away for awhile...
But you guys will be in my heart...=]
Alright...
I'll blog again soon I guess...
So look out for that...
Gosh I'm in love....
Look out for that too...
Hopefully everything goes well, if not, then it's Allah's plans I have to adhere to...
There's always a reason for everything...
No one is perfect...
In fact, the more imperfect someone is, the better...
Cause it's these imperfections makes us who we are...
Even with that point taken, I'll still try to be the best of who I am...
To see everyone around me happy...=]
So take carez everyone!
Good nightz and sweet dreamz!
2 months to Civil Defence...=]
*Even in my deepest darkest moment you were able to shine hope in my eyes*
Zupz Zupz!
