Itz where all d fun nv stops flowing...Woohoooo!!!
Okaiyz, with the past entry I talk abt SYF.....
Alot alot alot of SYF huh.... Hahakz....
Well... Finally, ITZ OVER!!! Hahakz.....
Yea yea yea! Datz d way I like it... Heez....

Ok now, come to tink abt it, I'm startin 2 miss band....
Awwww... =P No seriously.... I miss my..... eu....EUPHO!!!!
Hahakz... Now itz safe for me to flash back on those times I started...

2002....
Juz got kicked out for soccer for closing down...
Sheesh.. Hahakz.. Den I was so called stranded ar...
Like having no CCA, so kinda sian.... Noting to do....
Den I was looking thru all the CCAs... Dunno which one...
And finally, in Febuary or March liddat....
I decided, "Hey, band seems kewl..."
And so I got d transfer CCA form....
Gone thru all d process and with a snap, I'm in band!
Hahakz.... I was onli sec 2 den..... Thankfully...
Hahakz... I was like d oldest in d junior band....

I got my 1st instrument, yea u guessed it, itz a EUPHO!
Hahakz... At 1st I was like, eu wat? After d 1st day....
Wen I got home, I went home and searched d name on d net...
And I was like.. "Ah! Euphonium!"
Hahakz... Kewlz rite... Wooohooooo......
I brought home my eupho countless of times.....
To practice, to polish, to hug... Hahakz... =P
Yeaz... I practiced all d time....
Even my sis was fed up with me seh.... Kekez...
I realised I had a gift in music....
I was kinda good in playing the eupho.....
Me and my partner were the 1st to join the main band...
From the junior band, we were d best! Hahakz...
Oh yar, Hansel, a clarinet player taught me how 2 play high notes...
Tankiew Hansel!!! hahakz... Before dat I couldn't reach...
Anywayz.....

We practiced n practiced.... And at d end of the year.....
We joined in a concert at RI.... I forgot d name ar...
Hehez... We played Sparkling Slides.. And Kyklades....
That was my 1st ever performance... I felt good! Yeaz...
I can remember dat day, my senior dropped her t-bone...
And left a dent... My heart cracked manz...
But we played fine during d performance, so it was fine..
Heez... Yeaz....
Ever since that performance, I knew I made d right choice...
After dat days performace.... We practiced for SYF 2003...

We practiced from morning to night.. We had band camps...
Slept overnight, played in the hall at night....
It was so kewlz manz... I miss dose times.. hahakz...
I can say, we played our hearts out.......
And so.... 2003 came..........

2003....
The year where SARS had to come... Sheesh...
SYF was dragged and d venue was changed.....
Actually SYF was supposed 2 be played in April...
But due to SARS.. It had to be brought back to July....
Actually I had no complains ar... July my birthmonth....
Heez.... Then it was on the 23rd summore.....
23 is my favourite number summore....
How lucky could I be manz.. hahakz....
We still continued practicing.......
And SYF 2003 came.........
I was quite confident actually.. Hahakz....
Coz I memorised the whole score.....
And I walked into the hall with great confidence....
Smiling summore.... Hahakz... Kewlz...
Den we started playing Tales of the Sea....
I miss playing dat song!!!! Hahakz....

Then we played Kyklades..... We sounded POWER manz..
But we knew dat wasn't our best la....
We expected a silver for it....
We heard mistakes we made while we were playing....
Then we waited for the results.......
Band number 72..... Ngee Ann Band......... GOLD!
History was made that eventful day......
WE HAD OUR 1st GOLD MEDAL!!!!! =D
The seniors were deeply in tears.....
I was screaming like crazy... hahakz....
The annnouncer had to tell us to keep quiet summore....
Sheesh, we were wild! =P

After dat glorious day..... We were d most happiest pple alive.....
The very 1st gold medal were ours.......
We have proven everyone that we could do it......
All our hardwork and practice paid off.....
In that year... We played on different occasions....
I can't really remember dem now la.. Hahakz....
Let us go to 2004.....

2004....
Now I can remember wat we did in 2004....
We performed at 3 occasions......
The 1st one was at Sentosa.....
I can remember that day as if it was like yesterday....
Still clear in my memory manz.....
Ok, so wat happend?
We reached Sentosa, d place at about 3+ ar....
Den our rehearsal was at 4+......
Everyting was kewl... The sun was shining straight down at us..
We were practically frying like roasted pple... Geez...
And at about 5pm... It was time for us to eat....
So we headed to d monorail station placey....
Hahakz.... I dunno wat 2 call it la actually.....
Anywayz, we ate there... And rested for awhile...
And at about 6pm we were out and headed for d stage...
Keep in mind the stage is open air....
Oh yar, d name of d stage is the "Musical Fountain"..
Finally remembered... Hahakz....
Just wen everyting was going well........
It started to drizzle... I was like...."aw manz, dun pour"
But 10 minutes after dat, I knew I should have kept my mouth shut.....
It poured like cats and dogs manz... Argh!!!!!
We all were retreated to d media bunk underneath...
The place was so small... And it was so stuffy!!!!
Imagine having 40+ pple in ur bedroom.....
We were practically breathing down each other's neck...
Hahakz.... Now datz wat I cann band bonding... hehez...

D rain started to get lighter... We went back out and carried our intruments to the Monorail station where we performed....
And guess wat? Once we were settled there, d rain stopped...
HOW IRONIC!!! Hahakz... Sheesh...
But nvm la, we performed under d monorail thingy.....
Had a great time and not long it was over....
We played for like 45-60 mins liddat....
I was oleady so exhausted... hahakz....
But it was great la nonetheless....
Wen I went home dat fateful night.....
I was too tired, After I prayed and bathed...
I was off to bed.. Heez.... =P

Another occasion that I performed for was the Ole Tampines...
Sheesh... It was a BAD experience I tell u pple out there...
Nv perform for Ole Tampines.... Itz sux!!!! Ewwww....
Dey have no respect for the band at all!!!!
It was like we were having our normal practice liddat....
The MPs were having "fun" with their race....
Not really looking and paying attention 2 d band...
Sheesh... Bingit manz... But nvm ar....
But seriously, I tot we were playing on a STAGE....
but nooooooo.... We played on GRASS.....
I was furious manz.... We are not a Millitary band for goodness sake....
Our sound onli happens in a surrounded stage....
NOT OPEN AIR!!!!! Gahhhhhh.... Dose were d times i got mad...
Hahakz... We played sum songs... Den we left.....
Even the anouncer nv introduced us.....
We were like this extra band pple....
I mean, yar we were there to provide music....
Budden watz music when pple can't hear us?
The EMCEE was BOOMING the speakers like no one's business...
I didn't hear MYSELF play.... Hahakz.... Geram manz...
Dose were the times....
Letz juz move along shall we?

The third and final occasion was none other den Conorus Modus II....
Obviously we practiced like mad for dat too la...
I practiced extra hard coz SHE was coming.....
But now I tink over, not worth it....
The whole concert went smoothly ar.....
There was once wen I banged my tuba to a chair...
And the "PIANGGGGG" sound so loud ar...
Hahakz... Was and wasn't on purpose......
My junior la, really biting on my nerves manz....
Sheesh... Anywayz... We played a repertoir of songs...
I dunno wy I like d clay aiken song... Maybe SHE was there...
Argh..... Nvm nvm....
The finale was awesome! Hahakz.. We played I will survive...
I managed to survive the whole piece but was panting for air...
D effects were nice... The lightings were great!

Den rite.... We gave token of appriciation to d important pple la...
den rite rite rite.... If I'm not wrong, S'pore Idol haven finish...
Pple were shouting "Taufik!!!!! Maia!!!!!! Sylvester!!!!!!"
I tot dey shouting at me coz my name was in d booklet la....
So malu manz.... I covered my face.. Hahakz.....
In the end I knew dey were the pple from dunearn....
Den I was like "u pple ar......=P"...
Yeaz.....

I guess datz all ar......

Ok I'm back... That was one heck of a band experience huh...
Hahakz... Obviously there's more la.....
Budden I've written ALOT oleady leh.... hahakz/....
I juz wanna add sumting.... I met a new good fren yesterday!
Hahakz.... Actually not meet la, juz know thru net....
Her name ish Nur Atika or Ika....
Yeaz.... Juz knew her for like a day, and she noe alot abt me oleady....
I'm impressed.. hahakz.... She's a music freak like ar...
Yeaz.... Music Rulez! =D

Ok la... Datz all I wanna write... Wah, tired manz writing all dis... If I were paid for every letter I write.... I'd be damn filthy rich by now.... But itz ok, my words are wisdom.... And itz Priceless..... Tankz for reading my blog yea..... Really appriciate it... =D
